The H1-RW was first produced in 1975. The bike has a KR750 rolling chassis, with a water-cooled H1R engine. Like the KR750 and unlike the 74 H1R these bikes also came with Morris Mag wheels. This 75 version had front brake calipers formed as an integral part of the sliders.
In 1975 3 or perhaps 4 bikes were produced, one was ridden by Grant, one Ditchburn and one for DuHamel. All three bikes were raced without success at Assen. In 1975 Grant won the Junior TT on his bike. In 1976 two of these bikes were updated with a KR750 style forks and brakes. These were raced for the season by Grant and Ditchburn.
This bike is a Grant only bike, having foot controls and the mounts for the controls for a right hand shifter. The bike is painted in Grants 75 TT colors and numbers, with a 75 fairing, however, it retains the 76 front end.
